DMCA

At StoriesPro, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. Our policy is to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the text of which can be found at the U.S. Copyright Office website.

If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide us with a written notice containing the following information:

  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address (if any);
  • A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
  • A description of where on the StoriesPro website the material that you claim is infringing may be found, sufficient for StoriesPro to locate the material (e.g., the URL);
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted work is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement by you under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf; and
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

Once a proper bona fide infringement notification is received, it is our policy to:

  • remove or disable access to the infringing material;
  • notify the content provider, member, or user that it has removed or disabled access to the material; and
  • terminate repeat infringers’ access to the service.

Counter-Notification

If you received a notice from us that your content infringes someone else’s copyright and believe that’s incorrect, you can submit a counter-notice. Counter-notices must include:

  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled;
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled;
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which StoriesPro may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original infringement notification or an agent of such person;
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

This DMCA policy is designed to make submitting notices of alleged infringement as straightforward as possible while reducing the number of notices that we receive that are fraudulent or difficult to understand or verify.

Please note that you may be liable for damages, including court costs and attorneys’ fees, if you materially misrepresent that content on our website is copyright infringing.
